It is common nowadays to include information cards along with wedding invitations. Usually there will be guests coming to your wedding that aren’t familiar with the area so they need some extra information. The following are some of the common things that you may wish to include on your information cards.
- Accommodation information including the name, address, phone number and website address
- A map and/or directions showing how to get to the ceremony and reception venue(s)
- Hairdressers and beauticians in the area for the ladies
- Dress code
- Whether or not you can accommodate children at the wedding
- After party celebrations
Remember, if you need information returned to you, include this on the RSVP card, not the information card. Guests keep the information card.
For example, if you are providing any transport for your guests and need to know who will be availing of it and/or if you need to know about special dietary requirements, this goes on the RSVP card.
TIP: We recommend using non-cursive/script fonts for information cards as there is usually a lot of text on a small card and this ensures that the text is clear. If you want to include the font used for the main invitation it can be incorporated by using it for the headings.
